A cold crisp weekend (nicely put as opposed to bone chilling cold) greeted the first ever show by the WSHC Equine Foundation. Trailers rolled in, and the show was on – 9am to 9pm Saturday. Sunday was a shorter day, winding down by 2pm.

We want to say a BIG THANKS to our volunteer help for the weekend – Mike McGowen, Dave and Joan Petrie, Linda Ernsberger, Barb Cross, Don Schwandt, Rae Geb, Jan Pieper, Clarence Gorter, Randy Love, Skip and Lila Lemanski, Megan Langhoff, Don Smith, Corky Smith, Diane Sackett, Wayne Schutte, Loren Gettelman, Kathy Finley. Other folks popped in to help as they had time, Lee Sackett, Sandi Brick-Margolofsky, Kevin Juliuson, and Jenny Juliuson.

We also held a silent auction both days of the show, and the Promotions booth was set up for information about WSHC, Midwest Horse Fair, and WSHC Equine Foundation.

37 weanlings were entered in the SSA Weanling Futurity, representing AQHA, APHA, Arabian, Mules, ApHC, Lusitano, and Morgan. 18 showed up and made the class. The first place winner was a big sexy foal, really he was, by Big Sexy.
